Signed by the author on the reverse of the title page. Publisher's full leather with a paper lable on spine, black lettering on label. B&W drawing on the frontis. . Spine is rubbed and has one crack, leather is a bit scuffed, short splits in the leather at the spine ends, both hinges are cracked, two small newspaper clippings are attached to the front pastedown, with 3 cursive letters on the pastedown, a very faint name at the top edge of the endpapers, and another name (written in tiny lettering) and date on the top edge of the title page, some loss to a few pages on the deckle fore-edge, not affecting the text at all.
