1 Ogilvie-Grant, W. R.; J. G. Millais; F. C. Selous; D. Carruthers, et al The Gun at Home and Abroad (Complete in Four Volumes)
London The London & Counties Press Association Ltd. 1912 Limited Edition. 1 Leather Very Good with no dust jacket
Four volume set, complete. Volume I: British Game Birds and Wildfowl, Volume II: British Deer and Ground Game, Volume III: The Big Game of Africa & Europe, Volume IV: The Big Game of Asia and North America. All volumes are full morocco leather with embossed gilt ruled edges on cover and spine, gilt lettering on cover and spine, t.e.g., fore-edge and bottom edge deckle, b&w photogravure frontispiece of King George V. Volume I has 26 colored plates, Vol. II has 15, Vol. III has 10, Vol. IV has 8. All volumes have photogravures, and some volumes also have half-tone and monotone plates. This is a large, heavy set and we will need additional postage. . Volumes I and II are from set # 12 of a limited edtion of 500 copies. Volumes III and IV are from set #52 in the same limited edition. Perhaps because of the 2 different set numbers, Vols. I and II are of a slightly darker leather than Vols. III and IV. All bear the same armorial bookplate, and no other ownership markings. Volume I is heavily rubbed at the head of the spine and along the upper edges of the outer hinges, with slight rubbing at heel of spine and tips. Volume II is moderately rubbed at the head and heel of the spine and tips and the outer hinge is starting to crack at the top of the front cover. Volumes III and IV have just the slightest shelfwear to head and heel of spine. All the volumes have a few faint scuff marks on the covers, but no loss of the bright gilt lettering and are unmarked, square and clean. Pages are bright and intact. VERY GOOD. . B&W Photographs, B&W drawings, color drawings. 4to 11" - 13" tall. 444; 345; 409; 433 pp
