This is a journal completed by the friends and teachers of Miss Eva Brock near the end of the school year at Forest Hill Female Seminary in 1860. Miss Brock's dedication is dated March 5th, 1860. The entries are hand-written and include lengthy poems and memoirs written and signed by various friends, school-mates, and teachers. The last entry is dated July 24, 1860. The volume contains several tissue-protected engravings. (N.B. - Forrest [sic] Hill Female Seminary was incorporated by the Alabama legislature on February 5, 1858. The incorporators were Charles P.
